Very Important Patient and Paralympian, Jenn Oakes
What motivates you to achieve your goals? Be inspired by Jenn Oakes, who was flown by STARS after a boating incident had her fighting for her life. "I was so sure I was going to die that I started saying by goodbyes. Thanks to the generosity of people like you, STARS got there in time to stop that from happening." Though she lost her leg, Jenn didn't lose her dream of playing volleyball. She was a member of the National Sitting Volleyball team and played for Canada at the Paralympics in Rio in 2016.

Wellness Workshop with Jamie Bay
Participate in a session where certified Life Coach, Jamie Bay, discusses how to implement habits into your schedule, the importance of wellness and, how to incorporate wellness into our busy schedules.

Recognizing that it is a challenging time for many as we navigate the COVID-19 pandemic, we wanted to share that at STARS, we remain committed to the health and safety of all our staff and allies, and of course, our patients. STARS remains mission-ready at all of our six bases across western Canada. Our medical crews and our helicopters continue to be available for the next patient who needs us. Our air medical crews routinely care for patients who may be afflicted with a range of communicable diseases. We have protocols and training in place to ensure we can safely manage these illnesses, including COVID-19.

Today we are living and operating in unprecedented circumstances and beyond the immediate health crisis, all around us we are seeing signs of a significantly strained economy. The current economic environment means that STARS is anticipating a multi-million-dollar impact on our revenues this year and beyond. We count on events like Pursenal Mission, and supporters like you, to fund our critical care operations and now is no different. Thank you for your ongoing support.

We are still accepting donations of purses and other gift-in-kind items. To make a donation or find out more about how you can get involved with the event please email
